No "Always" or "Bed of Roses", but Bon Jovi's first show in Melbourne has to be the best set of the Asian/Australasian leg so far. Some real gems for the diehards, and The Circle album finally got some decent representation again on the tour that bears its name.

  1. I am shattered, I have looked forward to this concert for sooooo long and saved hard to get the money togehter for a ticket and it was just horrid.....what where the band thinking in choosing that song list. People around me were booing by the end of the concert. There is no denying that they are great artists but they lost the crowd because of the dreadful setlist. A cursory glance around at 10.45 showed most of the crowd had turned off. So sad...

  2. @mickos07 - Really? I was just about to say that you got Thorn in My Side live, that is the one song I really want to hear, I am jealous! Overall the setlist looks awesome, I really don't know what you were expecting?

  3. It sounds like mickos07 was not at the same concert as me.....I was there last night and I thought it was fantastic!
The people around me all loved it and most were on their feet for nearly all of the concert.
I have seen Bon Jovi several times over the years and they are always great.
They have such a huge number of songs to choose from, so I thought they came up with an interesting list with a good mix of the old faves, some new songs and some that they don't play live very often like Dry County.
I think we were spoilt last night and I heard no negative comments from people after the concert.

  4. I've heard lots of positive reviews from both diehards and more casual fans at this show too, though I can understand the rarities being lost on some. Still, it's always amazing how different people's perceptions of the same show can be. I remember seeing the comments on a review of an Elton John concert here in Perth a couple of years ago, and people who'd attended couldn't even agree on whether or not it had rained at the show! :P

  5. I am a die hard fan so I loved Rod laver more than Eithad because it was different and offered gems like Pain and Dry County which happens to be my favourite song: I went off!

I can see your point Mickos07 but they can't play everything or the same stuff every night so its a bummer you didnt dig it in parts but I think it still went off and certainly didn't see any bored people.

Oh and for the record the rendition of loves the only rule AMAZING! Am I right folks? Rock on
