Boston set list

Dear Jon Bon Jovi, the lack of songs from The Circle is almost beyond ridiculous now. And the only good thing about "I Love This Town" is that it makes the other songs around it look better... but I suspect that's not your intention in playing it. ;) Nice to see both "Bed of Roses" and "Always" in the set though; at least one of those needs to be played every night.

  1. It is turning into a bit of a greatest hits tour. The promise of songs from the first couple of albums lasted about 5 minutes

  2. I was at the show and two of the Meadowlands shows (including the one where he busted his calf). He seems like his calf is really bothering him. The show seemed very rushed last night. The first half of the concert was amazing (through "I'll be there for you"), the second half seemed rushed and the quality wasn't as good. I think in part some of it had to do with the curfew in Foxboro.

He made this big speech before he sung "When We Were Beautiful" saying how sometimes he really loves songs but the radio stations don't support him. It sounds like he loves "The Circle" but can't get any play from the radio stations. I was shocked there was no "Superman Tonight" and I think "Love's the only Rule" live is so much better than the album version.

  3. That's just the way of the world unfortunately. I've never heard a Gaslight Anthem song on the radio here, yet they're one of my favourite bands so there are other ways of reaching audiences.

And I agree about Love's the Only Rule! :)
