Oliver Stone wants Memphis the Movie

Last month it was reported that David Bryan and Joe DiPietro's musical Memphis has been fielding serious offers to turn the show into a film.

Well, it seems Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone is among those interested.

Stone is a big fan of the show which he's seen twice already and that he's been taking meetings with David Bryan. A representative for Stone confirms the director is interested in the project, telling the publication, "He's thinking about it."

As is Memphis-born pop star Justin Timberlake, according to the New York Post.
