  1. Yes, I was there--my first live Jovi concert. Yes, it was short by Jovi standards but still 22 songs and still very enjoyable. I thought Phil X did a wonderful job on guitar and it was nice that he and Jon were not trying for a Richie-like interaction. Phil X can replace Richie on guitar but not his personality or history with the band. The sound was great as was the production. There were songs that I didn't like as a recording but love lived (I hadn't expected that). Amen was hauntingly beautiful. As I waited for the crowd to lessen, I watched them break down the stage--it went fast.

  2. Show was B.S. Flew in from Minnesota and this is the 3rd time we have seen Bon Jovi in Vegas at the MGM. Played only 22 songs and 1 encore. He played way over that just a week earlier in Dallas. Vegas is expensive Jon and your tickets are not cheap. Why did you short change the crowd? We don't all have millions? I would think Vegas is your biggest and most EXPENSIVE venue yet we got jipped. Phil X did a great job in place of Richie but Jon just not seem to be into the show. He thanked the crowd for traveling far distances however he disappointed the crowd as well. Go count your money now!!

  3. I was at the concert. It definitely was a fun show! There was a bit missing even though Phil was great. I mean just to hear his guitar playing, you really didn't realize it wasn't Richie for awhile, but then when you looked at him, it didn't feel right. Jon was funny and he had an amazing presence as well. Even choking on the Vegas smoke he made it through the song without a hitch. I must say that I was totally disappointed in the encore though. I expected more and then to come home and find out about the Dry County encore in LA ---- aaaarrrggghhhh. I hope the San Jose show is better. I have 3rd row out of the circle so I am very excited. :-)
