The band wraps up this leg of the tour in Tel Aviv, before a couple of months off.

Selected videos from Bucharest

"I'd Die For You" - This is pretty rough, but I can't not post the video given it's the closest thing to a rarity in this set despite being played at the previous show in Klagenfurt:

"Twist and Shout" - Jon apologised to the crowd for not being quite up to speed before the final song:

Bon Jovi in Klagenfurt 19/07/19

Bon Jovi followed up Vienna with another Austrian show, this time performing in Klagenfurt for the first time. This was the set:

  1. This House Is Not For Sale
  2. Raise Your Hands
  3. You Give Love a Bad Name

  17. Lay Your Hands on Me
  18. Captain Crash and the Beauty Queen From Mars
  19. Bad Medicine

    Encore:
  20. Always
  21. Livin' on a Prayer

I realised "Knockout" was played for the first time this year, but I still think the song sucks (despite continuing to enjoy most of the album) so I don't care. 😜

Selected videos from Klagenfurt

"I'd Die For You" - Good to see something different. This was a belated performance for someone who's been requesting the song at previous shows:

"Always" - There were a couple of false starts after David Bryan made some uncharacteristic mistakes at the beginning:

"Bed of Roses" featuring two dance partners:

Yes, you read that correctly. No "Wanted Dead or Alive", but "I'd Die For You" was played.

Def Leppard opened for Bon Jovi on this show, the first time they've played together since 1986. I've seen both bands live, but it would be kind of cool to see them on the same bill (probably more so in their respective peaks though). Def Leppard posted these pics on their social media accounts:

"I'd Die For You" (it's only 26 not-great-sounding seconds, but I had to include it since it was the biggest surprise of the night):

"Someday I'll Be Saturday Night" (most of it):

"In These Arms" (partial, with the screen oriented the wrong way but you get the idea):

Bon Jovi in Montreal 18/05/18 + What next?

Bon Jovi's second of two consecutive nights in Montreal marked a) the end of this leg of the tour, b) possibly the last show of the tour, and c) probably the most surprising set of the tour. They signalled it early -- This is the first show of the This House Is Not For Sale Tour not to open with the title track. Jon started the concert in the crowd, while the B-stage where he's been singing "Amen" and "Bed of Roses" was not used (and those two songs were dropped).

Here's what was played:

Montreal, QC, Canada - Bell Centre - May 18, 2018
  1. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
  2. You Give Love a Bad Name
  3. This House Is Not For Sale
  4. Whole Lot of Leavin'
  5. Lost Highway
  6. Roller Coaster
  7. Because We Can
  8. Runaway
  9. It's My Life
  10. We Weren't Born to Follow
  11. We Got It Goin' On
  12. Keep the Faith
  13. Who Says You Can't Go Home
  14. Born to Be My Baby
  15. Lay Your Hands on Me
  16. New Year's Day
  17. I'd Die For You
  18. Bad Medicine

    Encore #1:
  19. (You Want To) Make a Memory
  20. In These Arms
  21. Wanted Dead or Alive
  22. Livin' on a Prayer

    Encore #2:
  23. Blood on Blood
  24. I'll Be There For You

Videos from Montreal, night #2

"Blood on Blood":

"I'll Be There For You":

"I'd Die For You":

"In These Arms":

"New Year's Day":

"I'll Sleep When I'm Dead":

If you'd like to share any videos from the second Montreal show, feel free to link to them in the comments.

At this stage, no other shows have been announced. Jon did mention Japan and Australia to an interviewer at the iHeartRadio Awards, but there was talk (and expectation) of a 2018 European tour, which ultimately fell through. So who knows? Will they make it to the rest of the world? Will there be another album?

Jon's latest Instagram post implies there'll at least be more shows (whether that's for this album cycle or the next) so I guess we'll wait and see...

Bon Jovi's This House Is Not For Sale Tour arrived in San Antonio and brought with it a couple of changes at last... The most notable being "I'd Die For You", which made its tour debut. "Make a Memory" was also played for the first time this year. Here's the full set list:

  1. This House Is Not For Sale
  2. Knockout
  3. You Give Love a Bad Name

  5. Lost Highway
  6. When We Were Us
  7. Born To Be My Baby
  8. Who Says You Can't Go Home
  9. It's My Life
  10. We Weren't Born to Follow
  11. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
  12. We Got It Goin' On
  13. Keep the Faith
  14. Amen
  15. Bed of Roses
  16. Lay Your Hands on Me
  17. God Bless This Mess
  18. Have a Nice Day
  19. Bad Medicine

    Encore:
  20. (You Want To) Make a Memory
  21. I'd Die For You
  22. Wanted Dead or Alive
  23. Livin' on a Prayer

Looks like any surprises that may occur are going to happen in the encore, but here's hoping for a shake-up in the main set too.

Videos from San Antonio

It was pretty slim pickings for videos at the time of writing this post, especially on YouTube, but there were some on other platforms.

Dawn streamed the show via Facebook Live from the end of "Lay Your Hands on Me" onwards. (The encore starts at about 23:35 and "I'd Die For You" begins at about 28:30.):

If you'd like to share any videos from San Antonio, feel free to link to them in the comments. 🙂

Bon Jovi in Manchester: Garageland + I'd Die For You

Bon Jovi played "Garageland" and "I'd Die For You" for the first time on the Because We Can tour in Manchester on June 8, 2013.

Videos from Oslo

A couple of videos from Bon Jovi's June 15 concert in Oslo. Haven't been able to find a video of Damned yet, but hopefully someone did capture it.

Wild is the Wind

There's a bit of a goof here and Jon sends a death stare in the Richie Sambora direction. But I love that they played this!

I'd Die For You

Not exactly my favourite Slippery When Wet song but I love them playing it anyway. Speaking of verses and choruses, the verses crap all over the chorus of this song... JMHO. ;)

Bed of Roses

Camera work's a bit shaky but it's right up close so you can have one of those "OMG Jon is looking right at me" moments. Haha. :P

Diamond Ring / I'll Be There For You

Nice view of Richie doing his thang. He's also using an electric guitar for Diamond Ring.

Visit Hath's Circle Tour Blog for all the videos from the show in due course.

More Sydney 2nd night videos

Here are some more videos from Bon Jovi's second Sydney show (December 18, 2010).

Last Man Standing
- I'm not 100% sold on this as an opener, but I do like the song so I'm glad they brought it back on this tour.

Just Older + I'd Die For You - I've always wondered why "Just Older" wasn't a single. It's nice to get a Slippery When Wet album track too.

Homebound Train - This is a perfect Richie Sambora song, both vocally and... guitarily (yes, I just coined a word). Suits him much better than "Lay Your Hands on Me".

Lay Your Hands on Me - Jon on lead vocals, the way it was supposed to be. ;)

Wanted Dead or Alive - I don't showcase "Wanted" on the blog too often, since it's played at every show anyway, but this was basically a duet between the crowd and Richie. A few people have mentioned that David Bryan looks annoyed about Richie getting to sing the second verse. I don't think I'd read too much into his expression though.

In These Arms
- If there was one "major" criticism about the three-night stand in Sydney, it would be that neither of the big ballads "Always" and "Bed of Roses" were played. They did at least get "In These Arms" though.

Videos from London June 10-11 + June 8 review

LET IT ROCK - As Joe Biden might say, this is a big f***ing deal. Bon Jovi played "Let It Rock" at The O2 last night (June 11, 2010). It was obviously the song's tour debut, and I didn't think it had been performed at all in the past 10 years... but I've since been told that "Let It Rock" was last played in Osaka, Japan on January 8, 1991. A very big f***ing deal, then.

Here's a video of the first couple of minutes...

Here's a lower quality video of the full song...

And let's not forget the awesome-ness of the night before (June 10, 2010)...

HEY GOD - Now that's rock! :)

I'D DIE FOR YOU

NEVER SAY GOODBYE

LIVING IN SIN

And because I can, some more videos from June 11.
OH, PRETTY WOMAN

OPEN ALL NIGHT (partial)

Still waiting for "Radio Saved My Life Tonight".

Finally, here's a fan review of the second night at The O2 by Roger Allen from Fanzeyreview:
Bon Jovi are back to their spiritual home of London for a virtual month residency at the O2 Arena. This is all part of The Circle Tour in support of the same name titled cd that hit the stores last year. The band has come a long way since I first saw them in London in 1988/89 for the New Jersey tours.
Check out the review and his website at this link.

Even more Meadowlands videos

A selection of videos from the third night (May 29, 2010)...

DRY COUNTY - Sounds stronger than it did the first night. Amazing song.

I'D DIE FOR YOU

JUST OLDER

JUMPIN' JACK FLASH / I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD

SOMEDAY I'LL BE SATURDAY NIGHT (electric) - Cool jam near the end.

DIAMOND RING

IN THESE ARMS

And a couple of earlier videos that I didn't post here or here...

RAISE YOUR HANDS from the first night (tour debut)

BED OF ROSES from the second night - This isn't the first time they've played "Roses" this tour but this is probably the best performance of it, vocally at least. Jon's going for (and hitting) the original notes as opposed to singing the This Left Feels Right melody over electric instruments.

LH Magic Memory #24: Manchester

The second last Magic Memory in this series takes us to June 22, 2008 in the City of Manchester, UK. This was probably the last real epic show of the tour. I'm not saying the concerts that followed weren't good, but Bon Jovi sets a high standard for live shows, and Manchester lasted a marathon two hours and 40 minutes. The show was full of great performances, plus a great set that combined hits and crowd pleasers with some gems for the diehards.

LIVIN' ON A PRAYER - A bit rough but I think it captures the crowd's anticipation and enthusiasm, as well as Jon's showman qualities.

I'D DIE FOR YOU - Always nice to see a Slippery When Wet rarity live.

LAST CIGARETTE - The first (and only) time this was played on the Lost Highway tour and a great surprise to see live. I thought this was lyrically one of the more clever songs from Have a Nice Day. The trippy Beach Boys-style bridge is cool too, but I still wish Jon would give up the smokes.

DIAMOND RING - Jon and Richie gazing lovingly into each other's eyes and declare to the world: "You're my queen and I'm your king".... Oh, I'm kidding. ;) But the two of them share the mic in this beautiful rendition.

ALWAYS - Could never get tired of this being back in the set!

DRY COUNTY - Words cannot express how much I love "Dry County". Just watch. :)

Manchester, UK - City of Manchester Stadium (22/6/08)

LIVIN' ON A PRAYER
YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME
LOST HIGHWAY
BORN TO BE MY BABY
CAPTAIN CRASH & THE BEAUTY QUEEN FROM MARS
I'D DIE FOR YOU
LAST CIGARETTE
I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD w/ Jumpin' Jack Flash + Twist & Shout

Just one more left in this series and a wrap-up, but never fear, there are always worthwhile things to blog about in Jovi land. ;)
