Richie Sambora heading to Melbourne Cup

Richie Sambora is coming to Australia, but unless there's a very major development in the next few weeks, it won't be for the Bon Jovi tour in December. He'll be Down Under for the Melbourne Cup on November 5:
Richie Sambora is headed to Australia!

But we're not sure Bon Jovi fans should get too excited; he is coming here for the Melbourne Cup as a guest of coffee-maker, Lavazza.

Sambora is, of course, a founding member of Bon Jovi.

"I'm pumped to be coming to Australia as a guest of Lavazza and I can't wait for Melbourne Cup Day," said Sambora, who performs at this weekend's Breeder's Cup at Santa Anita Park in California ahead of his Australian trip.

Richie was also interviewed by TMZ Sports about the Breeder's Cup.

  1. As much as I want him back in Bon Jovi for his artistic value, as a person, he's just become very pathetic. I feel sorry for him.

  2. He's history to me.....i still love Bon Jovi, and i still feel like the group is BON JOVI...they have proved that with staying the course with this concert.....Richie has left his brothers and his fans high and dry, so i could care less if he ever returns, Phil X is doing a great job and i applaud him for saving this tour.....I have no empathy for Richie at all.....he is doing things outside of touring with his "brothers". He made the choice....so i am happy with the band and I'm with the first post "WHO" and he is pathetic!!!!
