Bon Jovi played "What Do You Got?" live for the first time at P.C. Richard & Son Theater but the Greatest Hits lead single made its proper tour debut in Mexico City on September 24, 2010.
I noticed a lot of fans were pleasantly surprised when "What Do You Got" debuted, but that was in quite an intimate setting. Do you think the song still works in a bigger venue like a stadium?
And here's a video of "I'll Be There For You" from the same show, with extended outtro/ad libs. It's from the second tier so not the greatest footage, but the sound is pretty good -- I'm listening to it through headphones. If you like, you can close your eyes and pretend you're at the gig.
Obviously it loses some of its intimacy, and I guess is pushed more as a stadium ballad in this kind of setting. Having said that, it's not as powerful in this respect as something like Always or Roses.
