Jon Bon Jovi and Kid Rock on The Project

Jon Bon Jovi was interviewed by Anthony "Lehmo" Lehmann for last night's episode of The Project. Jon talked about fans sticking by them despite Richie Sambora's absence, the legend that is Livin' on a Prayer, and his much-publicised role in Australian bride Branka's special day.

Check out the Jon Bon Jovi interview here.

Kid Rock is supporting Bon Jovi for the stadium shows and joined Charlie Pickering, Carrie Bickmore, Lehmo, and Waleed Aly live on The Project panel. He talked about touring Australia for the first time, getting Jon into trouble, stage names, the Kid Rock cruise ship, and celebrities going off the rails.

Videos: Always, Beautiful, Bad Medicine from Toronto and Winnipeg

A couple of videos from two of Bon Jovi's recent shows in Canada.

ALWAYS (Toronto: July 20, 2010) - The band apparently surprised Jon with this at the start of the encore, and there's just a hint of stinkeye in the Richie Sambora direction about three minutes in. Nevertheless, Jon seems happy enough by the end of Richie's solo.

WHEN WE WERE BEAUTIFUL (Winnipeg: July 17, 2010) - I quite like the placement of this song further down the set. It's more intimate that way.

And in case we were getting a little ballad-heavy...

BAD MEDICINE/PRETTY WOMAN/SHOUT (Winnipeg: July 17, 2010)

OLD TIME ROCK 'N' ROLL w/ Kid Rock (Toronto: July 20, 2010)

Still looking for videos from the second Toronto show... specifically "Damned" and "Turn the Page".

Videos from London: Santa Fe, Blood Money, I Got the Girl, The Last Night + more!

Some videos from Bon Jovi's concerts at London's O2 arena.

I GOT THE GIRL (Show #10: June 23, 2010) - Jon reflects on how much Stephanie Rose has grown up since he wrote this song. Thanks to Maayan for sending me the link.

Other videos from the 10th show are at this link.

The following videos are from Show #11: June 25, 2010.

BLOOD MONEY

THE LAST NIGHT - When Bon Jovi played in Perth not long after Heath Ledger's death, Jon wore a Joker shirt and played this song. Not sure if it's a coincidence or not but this was the one year anniversary of Michael Jackson's death.

LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME - First time this tour that "Lay Your Hands" has been done with Jon on lead vocals.

SANTA FE (Show #11: June 25, 2010) - First time ever! A sombre acoustic rendition on the circle.

BAD MEDICINE/OLD TIME ROCK & ROLL - Featuring Kid Rock. Filmed from the pit. David "Tony boy" Bryan gets to start the jukebox song.

Detroit videos and review

A few videos from Bon Jovi's March 17 show at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE - The "Prince of Detroit", Kid Rock joins Bon Jovi on stage for the "national anthem. Kid Rock gets a little creative with the words but it's good fun to watch.

Pro shot:

Fan video:

HALLELUJAH - Jon forgets the lyrics but pushes on.

LOVE'S THE ONLY RULE - This has become one of my favourite songs from The Circle based almost entirely on live performances, but I haven't showcased it on the blog since the tour started. Jon causes quite a stir when he goes into the crowd. ;)

Here's a review by Adam Graham for The Detroit News:
Having outlived several major sea changes in music over the last few decades, the New Jersey four-piece has proved its durability and lasting power to several generations of fans. So "Blood on Blood" -- a song about brotherhood, loyalty and the endurance of friendship -- made perfect sense, and the more than 18,000 fans greeted it with open arms.
