Well, based on early listens, I prefer the delivery of the verses over the chorus. But the song reminds me a little of "Because We Can" in that the verses and choruses seem to have nothing to do with each other. (Someone fill me in if I've completely missed the point.) I'm not head over heels about it right now, but I usually prefer the other album tracks over the lead single anyway so that doesn't necessarily mean much.
What do you think of the song?

I'm with you, the lead track usually isnt the best track on the album. This is ok. I get fed up hearing this is nothing like slippery or New Jersey etc. It will never be and as Jon says he is not trying to write Bad name or prayer again. As a Bon Jovi fan we should just appreciate new music from them. I guarantee there will be one or two songs on the album that are great.ReplyDelete
