The other band members joined him. There was about a 5 minute delay, then they came back out and continued with "Who says". The way the set list played isn't like how you have it posted. They played (besides the 5 minute technical break) straight through without any "encore break" to "Living on a Prayer" then the band except Richie gathered at the front of the stage to take a bow, Richie had gone underneath the stage. After Tico went to retreive him and to take a bow, Jon said alright one more. They played "In these Arms" after that the band wanted to leave again and Jon talked them into "Always". So really for someone in the show it was one long set with an Encore of "In these Arms" and "Always".

As for the set list itself, the crowd didn't seem to be the typical MSG crowd, at least where I was sitting was a lot of "Older" generation people who you could tell were just there for the "hits". I don't know if the band knows the demographics prior to the show but that may explain the set list.

As a person who has learned that the New York shows are better than anything else in the NY Metro area, I was disappointed with the set list only in it looks like a "typical" Show. I'm not the type of fan who would have enjoyed the Uncasville show and I'm shocked he'd do that set in Uncasville cause those shows are in a tiny arena and the crowd is usually not the Major Bon Jovi fans, those usually go to Boston or New York.

Anyways back to MSG Set List, There wasn't any song I hadn't seen recently played (except Love for sale) and while I know Diamond Ring and Dry County are rare I have heard both the last 3 shows I've been to, so to me they've lost their luster as a surprise. He also played 3 songs from Circle, I'm not a fan of 2 (WWWB and Working man). Would prefer "Loves the only rule" or any circle song he hasn't played live. And only 1 new song and its not "What do you got?" How is that not an every night song?

To me in the end to wrap up, if this is a "Greatest Hits Tour" then he's got to include rarely played but Hit Songs like, "Just Older", "Blaze of Glory", "These Days", "Thank You for loving me", "I'd die for you" and drop every so often the "Lost Highway", "We got it going on", "Diamond Ring", "sleep when I'm dead" and my all-time least favorite song "Keep the Faith".

That's my two cents from the show....Linn in CTAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-483330837845516197.post-74215721915323690982011-03-07T00:27:39.663+08:002011-03-07T00:27:39.663+08:00I'll type more later, was bummed for no Just O...I'll type more later, was bummed for no Just Older, but my wife got all her love ballads and since it was her birthday present I guess it's ok....(Bed of Roses, In these Arms, and Always). There was a lot of confusion after the technical glitch. On my way out now, I'll give a full report later on.....-LinnAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
