I should not have followed the set lists before my show, but I have a problem with also reading the ending of books before the beginning, so you can see I'm not bit on surprises. LOL I agree with tossing most of those songs too, except I adore ISWID, so I'd keep that. Looks like they tossed out Captain Crash for this one, which I like but could live without in concert too.

Sorry. I always seem to hijack comments when I come check out the blog!Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07834516052278869035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-483330837845516197.post-31595941401774738072013-03-16T00:55:35.119+08:002013-03-16T00:55:35.119+08:00I was there. That looks correct though I did not keep notes or anything.

Also, I'm happy that I can start following set lists again after seeing the show. I intentionally stopped following things so I could enjoy this show a little more than I have the past 2 shows I've seen (Nashville and Louisville in 2010). It added back the element of surprise for me and I appreciated that.

Quick review: Jon's obviously not as energetic as he used to be and they are no longer the same BAND they used to be (I miss a third person on the front of the stage). It was still VERY enjoyable and a great time but as a die-hard, it's noticeable.

Richie made the show, for me. Whether it's his solo creative spark or sobriety or whatever, he was on fire last night. His solos were pretty insane and he was much higher in the mix than he's been the past few times.

I will also say American crowds are about 75% lame. There's little support for new material and quite a few people around me in section 212 left after about 45 minutes (!!!) of the show. I know the band and its fan base are getting older and I can appreciate that but all I wanted most of the night was the be able to be down with other FANS and not with so many casual folks who only know Prayer, Wanted, etc.

That being said, the crowd got REALLY loud toward the end and I was happy to hear Always (which I hadn't heard live since '95). Also happy to hear RYH and BoR which I had never heard live.

Too many freaking Lost Highway songs (I Love This Town to end the show? They've been there twice since 1987 ... not exactly "love" is it ;)

Things that have to go IMO: Sleep When I'm Dead, WGIGO, Lost Highway, BTBMB. I could do without WSYGCH but the crowd ate it up so I'm fine with that one.

Enjoyed BWC and TWTWMM from the new record a lot. Also loved the new KTF ending.Danielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16852140784488705886noreply@blogger.com
