Richie Sambora performs Lean on Me at #CostOfCarbon event

Richie Sambora and his solo band performed Bill Withers' "Lean On Me" as part of 24 Hours of Reality, a live-streamed multimedia event to raise awareness of the effects of carbon pollution. Check out the performance below.

  1. He doesn't look good in my opinion. Tired maybe but rough looking for sure. Nice to know he has some love of music left in him. Wish he'd cared enough to work things out with Jon. Maybe Jon can bring in that guy that helped the band get back together after the NJ tour before Keep the Faith came out. Hate to see it end like this for all of them. I have no doubt some will continue on but for one of the greatest bands to go down like this is sad.

  2. Who is going down? They are making bestselling records and huge tours. Richie is great, but he is not the band. But one member. If anyone is THE band, it's Jon. Besides, I think Jon and Rich will work it out. But it will take time. Won't happen until the tour is over.

  3. thanks for this video! I haven't seen it before :)
I really like Richie's interpretation of this classic song, his voice is still amazing.
They should have let him sing more often in the band since Jon's voice has trouble hitting the higher notes. I thought sometimes Jon is looking like he's in pain when he's singing high.
Great to see Richie doing well, hopefully there will be more of his own music soon.
I wish he'd do a real Blues record some day, I know his voice would be perfect for it!

  4. I have to be honest, I think poor Ritchie looks bad and sounds bad. Sorry to say it because I really like Ritchie, but things just don't seem right with him. I wish him all the best.
